Kappze was imagined and developed by Benoît, who has always been involved in animal protection.
Passionate about animals since childhood, he began volunteering at the age of 21 for a Paris-region organization that rescued street cats, where he was in charge of IT maintenance.
He later joined another organization to help trap cats and conduct investigations in the Yvetot area of Normandy.
Today, he continues to trap cats, serves as a foster home for the SNPA in Rouen, and has recently joined the ranks of the National Council for Animal Protection.
The goal behind creating this platform was to involve all stakeholders while ensuring the protection of cats. The platform aims to improve animal welfare while helping municipalities address the issue by providing clear visibility into the situation.
Kappze offers a free version limited to 30 animals. To manage more animals and access detailed statistics, a subscription is required.
Monthly and yearly subscription plans are available, based on the number of animals.
Only registered municipalities and associations can access these subscription options.
Kappze is not intended to be a new platform solely dedicated to lost animals. However, it includes a feature that can be more locally focused for this purpose.
That question might bring a smile, but it can also raise concerns. Kappze was created by a field volunteer who witnessed firsthand the silent suffering of stray cats. Sterilizing stray cats will not lead to their disappearance, nor will managing their presence have a catastrophic impact on biodiversity.
Kappze is committed to following the recommendations of professionals and scientists. Sterilization is recognized as the most effective way to combat the plight of stray cats.
Kappze offers three types of registrations:
City
Organization
Individual
As an association, you can create your own channels. Public services should register as a City.
Absolutely! In fact, it’s encouraged. Your cat will be marked with an “Owner” badge, which greatly helps lighten the workload for volunteers. You’ll also be able to manage your cat’s profile yourself.
The data shared with administrators will only include your email and the identification number, if there is one. As has been the case so far, only authorized authorities will have access to your information.
Each channel includes the email addresses of its administrators. Please contact them through this channel to request removal.
Each channel contains the email addresses of its administrators. Please reach out to them directly via these emails.
Kappze aims to address the organizational challenges by optimizing sterilization campaigns, focusing both on animal welfare and financial efficiency.
Having resources is crucial, but it must go hand in hand with the right tools.
Kappze strives to make the work of municipal managers easier.
Every report is subject to municipal moderation, preventing duplicate entries of the same animal.
Additionally, as a resident, you can add your own pet to the municipality’s channel. Your cat will then be marked with an “Owner” badge.
